Hi, nice to meet you! I am Jara.
PRODUCT / INDUSTRIAL DESIGN / AI / ART DIRECTION
@BRAUN HOUSEHOLD
My goal as an industrial designer is to create products that bring joy to people’s lives, products they can bond with and care about. This emotional value has a long-term effect and inspires consumers to use products considerately and repair rather than replace them. Good design means finding a solution and combining functionality, ease of use, design, and technical feasibility to create one well-balanced product.
CArrer Path_
I started studying industrial design at the University of Applied Science in Darmstadt. Additionally, I gained practical experience through several internships at design departments and agencies.
After spending a few enriching years in Darmstadt, I had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester at the University Hogeschool Howest in Belgium. I was drawn to their program's focus on the Methodology of Product Design and appreciated their hands-on approach. Beyond that, the city Gent, the people, and the overall Belgian vibe captivated me. I learned Dutch and decided to stay, graduating with my diploma in 2018.
Since then, I've been working as a product designer at De'Longhi Braun Household. I've had the opportunity to work on some challenging projects, which have allowed me to develop my skills in 3D/CAD modeling, Creative Cloud and Keyshot skills. I enjoy collaborating with others and finding creative solutions to problems. My goal is to create designs that truly meet the needs of users, and I'm passionate about turning innovative ideas into tangible products.
I'm also committed to staying current with trends and emerging technologies like AI, as I believe it's important to constantly be curious and evolve as a designer. I have a deep appreciation for aesthetics and strive to create products that are both functional and beautiful.
In 2022, I had the valuable opportunity to work at the headquarter in Treviso, Italy and joined the De'Longhi design team for a period of four months. This experience provided me with unique insights and learnings, exposing me to new cultural perspectives and approaches on design.
I'm grateful for the experiences I've had and the skills I've developed, and I'm excited to continue growing as a designer.

lovin life_
I'm deeply passionate about design, travel, sports and good food! YES, I am a foodie.
But I am also a design nerd. I love consciously shaping my surroundings, seeking beauty and functionality in every detail. I'm drawn to learning new techniques and skills and pushing the boundaries of my craft and imagination.
I thrive on creation and exploration across various mediums. My 3D printer has become another tool for my creativity, allowing me to bring digital designs into the physical world. I love tackling small projects in my free time, experimenting with different materials, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
During the pandemic, I transformed my cellar compartment into a creative haven where I experiment with wheel-throwing skills and started working with clay.
Beyond that, I find balance in sports and nature. Whether it's tennis, climbing, or soccer, I cherish the challenge and team spirit. Hiking in the outdoors recharges my batteries and fuels my creative energy.
